In 2024, the popular tournament format will appear on PokerStars – meet the Mystery Bounty at the Sunday Million event. The format with unknown bounty prizes came from offline poker, but adapting it to online play took time.
PokerStars will finally offer the new format to its players at two events in the upcoming New Year Series. On January 7, there will be an $11 Mystery Bounty with a $250,000 guarantee and a $109 Sunday Million in the same format.
Half of the buy-in goes to the regular prize pool, and half to the bounty prize pool. The bounty stage will begin when the players are already in the prizes. The average bounty prize will be around $300 at an event like the Sunday Million. However, there is no information yet on the main prize’s size.
Players can track the remaining bounties in the game through the tournament information widget in the upper right corner of the screen.
When will the January Mystery Bounty Tournaments Take Place?
Both tournaments start at PokerStars on Sunday, January 7th at 6:30 p.m. CET.

Be advised that Day 1 breaks in 7 h 55 min after the tournament starts, and the game will be resumed the next day, Jan 8 at 6:30 p.m. CET.
